Details

Day 2 of this system and I chased it home, picking a target of Champaign-Urbana.
Storms went up quickly in a line.

Gust Front
4 miles NNE of Tuscola, IL
1:47 PM
I dropped south hoping to catch a break in the line for an embedded supercell or a QLCS play.

Ragged Wall Cloud
4 miles NNE of Tuscola, IL
1:49 PM
A ragged wall cloud was about all I could squeeze out of this chase.

Conclusion

This was a low expectation, "chase it home" type deal that didn't amount to much. It was nice to be back in Illinois terrain and roads at least, being able to cherry pick a position on a storm and maintain visibility.
