Details

Wednesday, April 5 looked like a big day for tornadoes, but way down in Dixie Alley. I didn't want to tangle with the terrain and a likely HP storm mode down there so I opted for trying to get something on the warm front on the Illinois/Indiana border.
I drove east all the way into Indiana but storms failed organize nearby with only some junky warm front convection. I either wouldn't have made it in time or wasn't willing to dive into the hills and trees of southwest Indiana where some actual supercells were tracking. I called it a bust and headed for home.

Conclusion

A pretty lackluster bust. The outlook verified for tornadoes, I just wasn't willing to commit to the gnarly terrain of the Ohio River Valley or Dixie Alley.
